Piranhas snatch catch from fisherman's line

A fisherman has had his catch wildly snatched from his line by a ferocious school of piranhas.

Two men fishing on an unidentified river have filmed the incredible feeding frenzy on a fish they had just caught.

As one man fiddles with his camera, the other begins to reel in his catch.

The footage shows building commotion around the line as it is pulled towards the boat and eventually it is obvious the splashing is being created by little predators frantically eating away at the snagged fish.

By the time the grinning fisherman pulls the catch from the water its body is almost completed gnawed to the bone.

It was reportedly filmed yesterday but little else is known about the incident, including where exactly it occurred.
