Paw Patrol-branded snacks in UK recalled for packaging sending kids to explicit website

A number of Paw Patrol-branded kids' snacks have been recalled in the United Kingdom because their packaging contained the address of a website "not suitable" for children.

Budget supermarket Lidl was forced to issue that rather embarrassing urgent recall after the URL on the packaging was "compromised".

Local media reported customers complained to the grocery chain about the link, which led to a pornographic website.

Lidl apologised, said it would offer a full refund to anyone who had bought the products, and advised customers against viewing the explicit content.

"We have been made aware that the URL of the supplier which is featured on the back of the packaging has been compromised and is being directed to a site that is not suitable for child consumption," it said.

"We recommend that customers refrain from viewing the URL and return this product to the nearest store where a full refund will be given.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation. "

The UK products affected are five-packs of Paw Patrol all butter mini biscotti, choc chip mini biscotti, raspberry-flavoured yummy bake bars, and apple-flavoured yummy bake bars.
