Seen here after winning the gold medal in the women's shot put F12 final, Legnante donned a mask featuring Mona Lisa's eyes.
"It's a piece of art that binds Italy and France," Legnante said.
"When I choose an eye mask, there is always a link between Italy and the host country. This time round it was France, so what's better if not the Mona Lisa?"
The famous painting, believed to have been started by Leonardo da Vinci in Italy and completed in France, now hangs in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
