Over 13,000 Nissan cars recalled over fuel pipe issue
A range of Nissan cars have been recalled over fears they could result in a 'loss of motive power' and potentially even start a vehicle fire.
In the official notice online, Vehicle Recalls said that due to a manufacturing defect in the affected cars, the fuel pipe might chafe against the support bracket and suffer damage.
"If this occurs fuel may leak, potentially resulting in loss of motive power whilst driving, and if in the presence of an external ignition source may result in a vehicle fire," the notice read.

It could increase the risk of injury and even death to people within or outside the car.
"Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted in writing requesting they contact an authorised Nissan dealer to have their vehicle rectified, free of charge," the notice said.
The affected cars include ICE variants of the J12 Qashqai model, made in 2022 to 2024.
