New gif blurs the line between Elijah Wood and Daniel Radcliffe

The internet is forever infatuated with celebrity doppelgangers, but a new GIF shows an uncanny similarity between Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood.

The GIF – morphing from one actor’s face to the other’s - has been generating interest on social media as people marvel at the resemblance between the British and American stars.

The pair have reportedly only met once.

“Who knew Daniel Radcliffe grew up to be Elijah Wood?” one user wrote on Twitter.

“If you search for images of Elijah Wood, Google asks if you mean Daniel Radcliffe,” another observed.

Radcliffe, 26, told Marc Maron’s WTF podcast last November he often gets mistaken for Wood “because the idea of us is the same.”

“We’re both kinda short guys with big blue eyes and brown hair… And we did fantasy movies that came out at the same time.”

The Harry Potter series star said his resemblance to the 35-year-old Lord of the Rings star has prompted him to start a doppelganger project idea.

“I’m trying to write some sort of mistaken identity thing where one of us kills the other,” he said.
