‘Wait for it...’: Iran warns that it will soon attack US navy vessels
Iran has said it will begin targeting US navy vessels in the region in a stark warning.
A statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy made the threat.

“The movements and assets of the US terrorist military are under the surveillance of Iran’s naval units,” the statement read.
“The Americans are bringing themselves closer, moment by moment, to zero hour for operations against CENTCOM’s naval units in the region’s waters.
“Wait for it…”
On Saturday morning an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said the US had been targeting civilian infrastructure and killing innocent people.
“Last night, in its unlawful attacks on Hormuzgan Province, the US committed another blatant war crime by targeting bridges and murdering eight innocent Iranians — four men and four women — including two brothers with disabilities,” spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said.
“The Iranian people are now more determined and united than ever, fully resolved to make their savage enemies bitterly regret this criminal aggression against their beloved homeland.”

The attack on civilian infrastructure has drawn a rebuke from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
“(Guterres) is particularly concerned about attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran and across the region,” a UN spokesperson said.
“Such attacks are unacceptable.”
Iran in retaliation claimed to have destroyed an American unmanned vessel depot in Bahrain, as well as Bahrain’s artificial intelligence hub.
Bahrain’s Defence Force in a statement described Iran’s attacks as “sinful”.
“The General Command clarifies that, with strong will and high combat readiness, the air defence systems with Bahrain’s defence force, intercepted and destroyed a number of treacherous Iranian air strikes today,” the statement read.
“The General Command assures that all its weapons and units are at the highest readiness and on defensive readiness to protect the kingdom.”
It did not confirm any damage to infrastructure.

The US has announced it has launched a new series of strikes on Iran for the seventh consecutive night.
“The strikes are designed to continue degrading Iranian military capabilities at the Commander in Chief’s direction,” a statement from US Central Command said.
Central Command also announced the destruction of a maritime surveillance tower used by Iran to monitor commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
“The destruction of the tower directly degrades IRGC’s ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crew members,” the statement read.
“Furthermore, the strike protects freedom of navigation in regional waters for all vessels, except for ships attempting to violate the ongoing US naval blockade against Iran.”
