Rottweiler separates brawling road ragers

A peacekeeping canine has broken up a scuffle between a taxi driver and a motorcyclist in Turkey.

The rottweiler was filmed racing in to separate the pair, who had accused each other of dangerous driving in Taksim Square in central Istanbul yesterday.

But as well-intentioned as the dog might be, its focus then becomes misplaced, chasing away another man who was trying to calm down the situation.

The pacifist is forced to jump onto the boot of a taxi as the dog chases him away.

Eventually the police arrive to calm down the situation.

Turkiye Gazetesi reports the spat began when several motorbikes carrying bottled water collided with a taxi driver trying to overtake.

The fight took place at 11.30am.
