Israeli soldier defeated by runaway tyre

An Israeli soldier has been filmed coming off second best to a runaway tyre.

In what appears to be a game between troops, the uniformed man stands at the base of an unknown suburban street as the heavy vehicle tyre is rolled towards him.

Wolf whistles and cheers ring out from the top of the road as the tyre closes in on the soldier, who stands poised to stop it in its tracks.

The man momentarily raises his weapon to shoot but instead opts instead for a swift kick – only to be sent flying because he underestimated the power of his opponent.

Clearly embarrassed, all he can do is smile as he peels himself off the dusty tarmac to the howling laughter of his comrades.

Little is known about the origins of the video, which was uploaded online today and has already sparked the interests of thousands of viewers.
