Massive fireball lights up skies over UK

A huge fireball has been filmed in the UK hurtling towards the earth, seemingly on a collision course with the camera.

Wilcot man Richard Fleet captured a brief video of the suspected meteor on Friday around midnight. The video was then shared by the UK Meteor Observation Network.

The black-and-white video shows a descending object flare briefly to blinding proportions before fading.

Approximately 68 sightings of the same fireball were made across England, Wales and Normandie, the Network reports.
