Brisbane man burned alive
A man has been set alight inside his Queensland home.
A 65-year-old grandfather was asleep in bed when he was doused in petrol and set ablaze.
Police said the man was sleeping when the attack occurred inside his home at Alexandra Hills, south east of Brisbane, about 9am.
Neighbours rushed to the man's aid when he ran from his home covered in flames.
They extinguished the blaze but he had already suffered burns to 80 percent of his body, 7 News reported.
The man was rushed to Royal Brisbane Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains there fighting for his life.
Police told nine.com.au a 34-year-old "person of interest" is being treated for minor burns on his arms at nearby Redlands Hospital.
"He is assisting police with their enquiries," a police spokesperson said.
