US man charged with assault after allegedly attacking 'vampire' roommate
A US man has been charged with assault after allegedly attacking his roommate because he thought he was a vampire.
A 40-year-old Bremerton man appeared in a Washington court on Monday after allegedly using a metal rod to strike his roommate in the chest, local media reported.
The roommate told county deputies the alleged offender accused him of being a vampire, threatened to kill him and struck him with a metal rod.

The roommate said he feared for his life because the suspect has severe mental health issues and is physically larger.
The suspect's brother told investigators the roommate had earlier joked: "Is that what the kids are calling me these days?"
Authorities said the suspect believed the roommate acknowledged being a blood-sucking creature.
