A kind stranger has helped pay for the Christmas gifts for a US family.
Mother-of-two Robyn Ayres, from New Hampshire, said that when she want to make a payment on her lay-by items at Walmart, staff told her half the costs had already been taken care of.

“He said, ‘A woman saw you and she said she wanted to pay a portion of your bill’, and I just started crying,” she told ABC News in the US.
The anonymous woman left a note.
“I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas,” she wrote.
Ms Ayres said the donation helped to pay for Xbox games and a Lightning McQueen toy for her sons, Griffin, 11 and three-year-old Ryder.
