Jobless man nicks wallet during job interview fail

An unemployed Japanese man has been caught by police after he stole the wallet of a prospective employer during a job interview.

Shogo Takeda, 24, showcased his lateral thinking skills but failed on the honesty front during his interview at an elevator maintenance company in Yokohama, Japan Times reports.

Takeda swiped his potential boss' wallet, holding more than $600, when the company president had to leave his office during the interview.

"I wanted to work for that company, but since I haven’t got a job I needed money," Takeda said after he was caught.

Police were able to track down Takeda using the CV he had left on the desk of his victim, which listed his home address and telephone number.
