'Jihadi jackass' draws jeers with suicide bomb 'stunt'

An ISIL militant who purportedly hails from London has been labelled the "Jihadi jackass" by the British press after an unsourced video of him detonating an explosive circulated online.

The footage shows the fighter, who is reportedly a 19-year-old "college dropout" known alternately as "Gezim Klokoci" or "Abu Waqqas al-Albani", setting off the priming charge on a small explosive device.

The youngster then throws the bomb, which looks to be of the type used in suicide attacks, down a flight of stairs in an apartment building, reportedly in Iraq.

The small crack of the primer is soon followed by a much louder bang, which shakes the building and sends clouds of dust and grit into the air as "Klokoci" and his crew of berobed brothers-in-arms holler with exhilaration.

"Klokoci" reportedly hails from Finsbury Park, in north London, who is known to try and encourage others to commit terrorist attacks online.
