Instagram down again, days after massive global outage

Instagram has stopped working for many users around the world, just days after a major global outage that outraged social media fans.

Hundreds of people have complained they were unable to use the photo-sharing platform on Twitter.

Website Down Detector showed swathes of users in Europe and North and South America were affected- with some Australians also unable to post.

Last week the platform also had a major outage.

Some users reported no access at all, while others just couldn't do any searches or reach other parts of the service.

"We are now fully recovered and apologise(sic) for the disruption," Instagram posted on Twitter.
