Grumpy pregnant moose kicks passerby

Residents in a small Canadian town have been warned to give a cranky pregnant moose a wide berth after it kicked a pedestrian in the face for no apparent reason.

The enormous animal, which had been seen moping around the town, was caught on camera attacking a woman after she walked past.

"You can see in the video that it’s between a house and a vehicle, and our take on it is that the moose felt it needed to get out of there," said Flint Knibbs, a conservation officer in the town of Smithers in British Columbia.

"It was being cornered, and the easiest way out happened to be over top of this individual."

The woman was not seriously hurt and Knibbs said the grumpy mum-to-be will not face any consequences from the outburst.
