Greek farmer ploughs refugee campsite

A furious Greek farmer has ploughed his tracker through a group of Syrian refugees who decided set up camp on his land.

Tensions between the expanding camp and the farmer reached boiling point yesterday when the elderly land owner decided to run his plough through the hundreds of settlers.

Footage shows the farmer brazenly destroying tents and belongings as he erratically swerves the heavy vehicle across his land.

Police quickly arrived at the scene to intervene.

Reddit users have been quick to lambast the refugees.

"Greece have plenty of camps set up for the refugees. Yet they set up camps near the border of Macedonia," said one user.

"This guy's livelihood probably depends on him getting his land ploughed and seeded. It's f---ing post-Merkel Greece with no social security net whatsoever. So if this guy doesn't make harvest this year he's probably done for good."
