'Gatekeeper' frog achieves viral fame following online debut

A small frog snapped peeping out of the top of an door lock has set the internet afire with its unintentional hilarity.

The photo, posted to image-sharing website Imgur by user dqb91 today, has already been viewed more than 4 million times.

It shows a frog waiting the open lock of a security door, in what would appear to be guard duty.

“Password?” the caption reads.

Viewers have subsequently piled onto the pun train.

“Hmm I froget,” user Wulfgangs wrote.

“Toad at owners expense,” user jellyiv joked.

“This pun wasn't that big of a leap,” jtheshef complained.

“This comment was ribbiting,” catkraze concluded.
