France's Toulouse Airport reportedly evacuated

Toulouse Airport in southern France has reportedly been evacuated due to a security alert.

Passengers were ordered to leave the airport about 7am, local media agency TheLocal.Fr has reported.

Images posted on social media show people crowded outside the airport's departure entrance.

"Checked in at Toulouse airport, sitting at the departure gate and we've now all been asked to leave. Everyone outside now," Twitter user Mark Davidson wrote.

The evacuation follows security being tightened across Europe in the wake of the deadly Brussels attacks, which killed at least 34 in the Belgian capital.
