Foo Fighters invite birthday boy on stage to play drums

The Foo Fighters have made one teenager’s 18th birthday after inviting him up on stage to play the drums with them at a concert in Toronto.

Anthony Bifolchi was at the band’s Sonic Highways World Tour gig at the Molson Amphitheatre last week, holding a sign in the audience saying: "It’s my birthday, can I play drums?"

Spotting the sign, frontman Dave Grohl told Mr Bifolchi to get up onto the stage, but warned: "You better not suck!"

“If you suck on the drums, I will personally tar and feather your ass, now get on those drums right now,” Grohl said. 

The ecstatic fan jumps up onto the stage and runs over to Grohl, hugging him.

Grohl then asks what song Mr Bifolchi wants to play, who promptly names the band’s smash hit Best Of You

“You ain’t playing that song, that’s the last one we’re gonna play tonight!” Grohl snaps.

Mr Bifolchi is offered Big Me and the band smash out the hit to the raucous crowd.
