Female Russian shopworker restrains would-be robber with her rear end

A female shopworker is no doubt up for Employee of the Month at an eastern Russian furniture store, after using nothing but her own body weight to ensure a would-be robber faces the consequences of his failed attempt to break the law.

CCTV footage shows the would-be robber looking at a wardrobe inside a Nizhny Novgorod furniture store, before closing the door and turning his attention to a laptop computer sitting on the sales desk.

However, his attempt to snatch the laptop and make a run for it is foiled, and he is jerked back towards the desk by the computer's power cord.

After his attempt to steal is stalled, the man tries to run out of the store.

But rather than let the would-be-burglar break free, a female shopworker wrestles him to the ground and sits on him.

With her gluteus maximus muscling down on the man, a colleague phones the police.

Filmed on Monday February 8, the video has since gone viral in Russia.
