Family almost killed by huge ice blocks falling from roof

A family in Russia are lucky to be alive after narrowly avoiding a barrage of huge ice blocks that rained down from the roof of their house.

A couple and a young girl are seen on video barely missing the first pieces of falling ice, running back into their home as more begins to fall.

Within moments the entire street is covered in ice and snow.

The footage, captured from a camera outside a unit block last week, was filmed in Vladivostok, not far from Russia’s border with China and North Korea.

The city had a month’s worth of snow in a single night after being hit by a powerful storm.
