Driver reverses car off tow truck to avoid parking rap

A furious driver in the UK has been filmed reversing his car off a tow truck to reportedly avoid a parking rap.

The video, recently posted online by east London's Waltham Forest Council, shows the unidentified man climb on to the loader and into his vehicle on the morning of August 29.

After starting the engine, he creeps forward a few inches then floors the reverse.

The car shoots off the truck, dropping more than a metre heavily onto its boot before the front can clear the tray.

The driver then speeds away, leaving an ominous scraping sound in his wake.

Council contractors were about to impound the illegally parked car in Walthamstow at 8am when the incident took place, the Express reports.

A council spokesman confirmed the man was reported to police but it is not known whether any further action was taken.

The car was a Vauxhall Astra, similar to the Holden vehicle of the same name.
