"I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing prioritise my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.

"I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.

"Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!)," Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Trump did not mention Ivanka during his speech, but made special mention of his son Eric.

Also in attendance was the president's wife Melania and son Barron.
