Dog 'smiles' after being rescued from US house fire

A small dog has been photographed appearing to beam with happiness after being rescued from a house fire in the US.
Images show the dog with its mouth open in what looks to be a broad grin as it is carried to safety by a firefighter.
The photographs have received hundreds of likes on Facebook, with many people commenting on how the dog seems to be expressing its thanks through its facial expression.
"Cute little pooch has good reason to smile. Bless the firefighters for caring about saving the family pet," one user wrote.
The Baltimore Country Fire Department crew responded to the blaze in the Parkville last Friday, according to Twitter.
Firefighter Walter Sanders was responsible for finding and rescuing the family's pet, the tweet advised.
