Sneak peek of Disney’s Star Wars theme park lands

Disney has offered fans a detailed glimpse into the Star Wars-inspired theme park lands set to open in the US in 2019.

The models for two Star Wars lands were unveiled at the D23 Expo in Anaheim today, revealing an immersive and intricate world that will soon become a reality at the Anaheim Park in California and in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

“All along, we have said this will be game-changing, and through the model we can begin to see how truly epic these immersive new worlds will be,” Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek said.

Disney officials said the new land in Florida, set to be the largest themed expansion in the park’s history, will be “somewhere on the Outer Rim – on the edge of the Unknown Regions”.  

Fans can look forward to taking the controls of the Millennium Falcon on a customised secret mission, and to experience the battle between First Order and the Resistance.
