Cows spark delays after gathering on UK train platform

Commuters in the UK have been treated to an unusual sight after a herd of lost cattle began lining up beside a train platform. 

A photo taken on Saturday by bystander and student Francesca Ryan, captioned, “Holy cow!”, shows dozens of cattle milling along a platform at Hever railway station in Kent, the BBC reports. 

"I was pretty shocked as it's not the normal view when waiting for your train,” Ms Ryan told the BBC.

The animal’s unexpected appearance at the station sparked train cancellations and delays of up to 30 minutes. 

The cows were eventually “remooved” from the station and returned to neighbouring fields. 

It is not known how they came to be at the station in the first place.
