Couple takes new approach to avoid missing flight

A couple in the US desperate to avoid missing their flight have thrown an epic tantrum in a bid to have the plane's pilots wait for them.

The man and woman were allegedly caught on camera by a bemused bystander as they banged incessantly on the windows at the gate and urged the pilots in the cockpit and ground crew to let on board, Metro reports.

"Please open," the pair take turns shouting over and over again as they bang on the glass and wave their hands.

The couple carried on yelling for over a minute until a fellow traveller approached them to advise that they were unlikely to be let on the flight.

The authenticity of the video, which was uploaded online in August but has only now attracted international media attention, cannot be verified.
