Thou shalt not steal: Church usher filmed lining his pockets

A church usher has been filmed taking hundreds of dollars of donations as the congregation bowed in prayer.

The low act was captured on camera at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, Florida.

The video shows the shocking moment volunteer, Mario Condis, allegedly stuffed his pockets with wads of cash from the collection plate.

The thief was confronted by detectives after the Sunday mass, with $500 dollars (US$349.05) found in his pockets, according to local media.

Church officials long suspected the 60-year-old of theft, and set up the sting with the help of police, who fixed cameras around the church.

It’s alleged Condis stole from the church on three separate Sundays from October 18 to November 1.

He obviously forgot the important commandment - thou shalt not steal.
