Former Train bassist Charlie Colin dies aged 58

Charlie Colin, one of the founding members of US pop rock band Train has died aged 58.

Colin, the band's founding bass player, reportedly died in an accident after slipping in the shower at a home in Brussels, Belgium, where he was house-sitting for a friend.

Variety reported that Colin's sister confirmed his death.

Colin was a member of Train for the band's first three album's, including the self-titled Train (1999), Drops of Jupiter (2001), and My Private Nation (2003).

Drops of Jupiter included the band's breakthrough hit, "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)", which won them a Grammy.

Colin left the band ahead of their fourth album release in 2006.

He also played for heavy metal band Slipknot and hard rock outfit Puddle of Mudd in the intervening years.
