Canadian judge bails WA child psychologist
A Perth child psychologist accused of using his phone to video a boy at a movie theatre urinal in Canada has been freed from jail and allowed to return to Australia.
Dr Aaron Voon, 41, was arrested at the West Edmonton Mall movie theatres on May 22 after the boy's father confronted him outside the toilets.
Video taken by bystanders of the furious dad demanding to see Voon's phone went viral after appearing in a Facebook post.
In an Edmonton court on Thursday Voon was granted bail, had his Australian passport returned and was cleared to return to Australia, Canada's CBC News reported.
Voon has to put up $C75,000 ($A79,250) cash, stay away from people under the age of 18 and return to Edmonton for a court appearance on June 16.
He has been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography and voyeurism.
Voon worked as a child psychologist at the Successful Development and Therapy Centre in Perth.
