Camel herd charges and attacks car

A herd of roaming camels have wildly attacked a car in the dead of night on a remote Russian road.

Dash cam footage taken on Wednesday June 8 shows a driver slam on his brakes and sound his horn at something ahead in the darkness.

It quickly becomes apparent that something is a group of stampeding camels that charge the car, jump over the bonnet and smash the windshield.

The ambush comes to an end as quickly as it began, with the humped animals disappearing into the darkness.

The 37-year-old driver, a woman and two children in the backseat were unharmed, Penzanews reports.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior department said an investigation was underway to find the owner of the herd.
