Body of boy found frozen in ice in US

The body of a child has been found frozen in a pond in the US during a search for a missing six-year-old boy.

Police said a body, which was found under the ice, was discovered near where David Puckett was reported missing in Aurora, Colorado, News Channel 13 reports.  

The body has not been formerly identified but police have said it was a child’s body and the Puckett family were informed of the discovery.

A specialised police dog led the search to the pond where the little boy’s body was found.

David was last seen at 5.30pm (local time) on December 31.
