Dentist found guilty of murdering his mistress’ toddler

A dentist in the US has been convicted of murdering his girlfriend’s 19-month-old son.

Last week, jurors in Oklahoma County District Court found the 37-year-old man guilty of first degree murder.

At the time, the married father of four was in a relationship with the victim’s mother Roxanne Randall.

On July 16, 2016, Franklin was at Randall’s house when he dropped her son Lincoln Lewis on his head and kicked him.

According to investigators, the child was left with a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain.

Although Franklin has denied all allegations, some of the abuse was captured on CCTV.

In the footage, the man could be seen cradling the lifeless child’s body while eating a slice of pizza.

Franklin was also found guilty of soliciting the help of fellow jail inmates to kill Ms Randall so she couldn’t testify against him.

Jurors chose life in prison without parole and Franklin showed no emotion as the verdict was read out.

He is due to be sentenced on October 19.
