Road raging driver totals his car

Patience and forgiveness can go a long way on the road, as one South-East Asian driver found out the hard way earlier this week.

There’s surely a life lesson contained in dashcam footage of a stoush between two motorists on a four-lane Thai highway, in which one driver’s thirst for retribution ends in humiliation and panel-damage.

Enraged after being cut off by a van, the footage shows the driver of the dark-coloured car make several attempts to pay back his nemesis, at one point burning across two lanes to pass the larger vehicle.

Not having a bar of it, the van quickly merges, cutting the car off again.

The driver of the car hit the brakes, then changes lanes to pass a truck before moving back in front of the van – and that’s when things really start to go wrong.

The hot-head swerves just in time to avoid slamming into the safety barrier, but loses a wheel, and then spins crazily across to other side of the road.

Other drivers with cooler temperaments slow as they pass the wreck, but no one bothers to stop.

Revenge, as the saying goes, proves its own executioner.
