Australian woman Sara Connor will be handed over to Indonesian prosecutors and moved to Kerobokan prison next week as she and her English boyfriend face charges of murdering a local policeman.

Connor, 45, from Byron Bay and David Taylor have been held at Denpasar police station in Bali since their arrest in August following the death of police officer Wayan Sudarsa whose bloodied body was found on Kuta beach.

Taylor's lawyer, Robert Khuana, said they would face trial within two or three weeks.

"Yes, it's certain they will be moved on Monday, maybe around 10 am," Khuana told AAP.

"They will be moved from Denpasar Police Station and then brought to Denpasar District Attorney and then to the prison, Kerobokan Prison."

Mr Khuana said they would fight the murder charges in court.

Lawyers for the two have said a scuffle broke out between Taylor and Sudarsa after Connor lost her purse on Kuta Beach.

Taylor is alleged to have hit the police officer with a beer bottle and binoculars.
