A flight attendant aboard a missing AirAsia plane posted a number of eerie tweets about the two Malaysian Airlines disasters just months before his own plane disappeared yesterday.

Oscar Desano was listed as a crew member on board Flight QZ850, which was en route to Singapore from Indonesia with 155 passengers and six crew when it lost contact with an Indonesian air traffic control tower.

In July, Mr Desano sent his condolences to the victims of MH17, which was shot out of the sky over Ukraine.

"I feel truly sorry for the loss of MH17 by Malaysia Airlines. It's been 2 big catastrophic event for MAS in 1 year," he wrote.

"My deep condolences also for the pax's family, may all the casualties rest in peace."

In March, the flight attendant posted about doomed flight MH370, which is yet to be found after disappearing while flying from Malaysia to China.

"Pray for Malaysia Airlines flight number MH370 Boeing 777-200 bound for Beijing, who have lost contact," he wrote.

The search and rescue operation for Flight QZ850 is expected to resume at sunrise this morning.

Reports suggest the plane may have been trying to avoid bad weather at the time it disappeared.
