Amateur vision reportedly shows moment MH17 crashed

Amateur vision has surfaced of the moment Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crashed this morning.

The video was widely shared on social media in the wake of the disaster and shows a fiery explosion and large smoke trail. 

Twenty-seven Australians were among the 295 passengers on board the Boeing 777 which crashed in rebel-held eastern Ukraine after it was apparently shot down at altitude.

The jet was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it disappeared from radar and came down near Torez in the region of Donetsk in the Ukraine.
