Alligator craving a sandwich invites itself to student picnic

An alligator in the US has crashed a student picnic and helped itself to a sandwich left on the picnic rug.

The unexpected guest crept up on the students while they were beside Lake Alice in Florida.

The reptile picked up the sandwich bag between his teeth and hastily chomped down the food.

Bystander Richard Reed captured the moment in a video which was shared by picnicker Michael Tamayo on Facebook and captioned: “Just a hungry little gator looking to score some food”.

The alligator did not show any signs of aggression towards the picnickers.
