Zimbabwe lion killer's dentistry slammed on social media

The Minnesota dental surgery where now-infamous lion killer Walter J Palmer works has come under a barrage of hate-filled reviews on business review site Yelp.

River Bluff Dental has become a hotspot for outraged and distraught posters to vent their anger after it was revealed Dr Palmer shot a protected lion known as “Cecil” with a cross bow on a hunting trip to Zimbabwe.

Of the 3000 reviews on the surgery’s Yelp page, the vast majority were posted in the last 24 hours and nearly all of those were directed at Mr Palmer’s actions.

“This subhuman piece of dreck probably became a dentist to avail himself of the opportunity to inflict pain upon many undeserving innocents,” wrote Matt R.

Many reviewers believe Mr Palmer’s unmasking will have a negative impact on the business.

“Disgusting, pathetic, embarrassing. I would let my teeth fall out before I ever went here,” said Jeremy B.

“You are less than a man. I hope your business dies and you go broke. Even better serve jail time or just sacrifice yourself to family of lions to eat on,” commented Alma C.

“Clearly a sociopath. I'd be afraid to go anywhere near him. Does not value life or the delicate ecology of our planet,” posted Lauren M.

Many of the posts were simply too bitter and expletive-laden to publish, but delivered the message clearly that the world is distraught at Cecil’s killing.

Michelle L. summed up everyone’s feelings toward the dentist, saying: “You are a disgrace to mankind. I hope you suffer the same pain you caused this beautiful animal at some point in your life.”
