Boeing Dreamliner makes emergency landing in Ireland

An Aeromexico Boeing Dreamliner has been forced to land in Ireland after alerts of a fire on board.
Flight AM3 was en route to Paris from Mexico City when it declared an emergency and requested to be diverted.
It is believed a fire alarm in the 787-8 jet's cargo department was activated.
It was directed to Shannon Airport near Limerick in Ireland where it was met with emergency vehicles upon landing.
The plane taxied to a gate where passengers were offloaded before being taken to a remote stand at the airport where the cargo hold will be inspected.
The Dreamliner, Boeing's latest model, has had a rough history since its introduction in 2011.
Issues with the state-of-the-art jet's lithium ion batteries forced all 787s to be grounded in the US due to fears of an on board fire.
