Malaysian makeup artist Saraswati has seamlessly integrated the hijab into her transformations of popular Disney characters.

Under the name Queen of Luna, the self-confessed ‘geek’ and ‘Disnerd’ has shared hundreds of impressive recreations of Disney’s favourite cartoons, as well as many superheroes and villains, on her Instagram.

Her latest transformation is a recreation of Ariel from The Little Mermaid, using her red hijab as a prop in place of Ariel’s hair.

Saraswati has shared more than 300 looks including Batman, Tinker Bell, Mulan, Jafar and Alice in Wonderland.

The artist has built up a huge fan base, now followed by more than 184k people, with many of them starting to make their own character requests, and others simply fans.

“You are so amazing! I’m in awe of your talents, keep on girl,” one fan wrote.

“'Your pictures are goals and I like how you use your hijab and are confident and incorporate it into the photos instead of just doing the makeup, keep it up,” another said.
