91-year-old crashes through garage door for his bucket list

There was only one thing 91-year-old Walter Thomas wanted to tick off his bucket list before he died - and it wasn’t skydiving or bungee jumping

All this Illinois grandfather really wanted to do was smash a car through a garage door, and he did just that on May 31 local time.

Handily enough one such door was readily available as a relative’s garage was scheduled to be demolished.

So Mr Thomas got behind the wheel of an SUV with his grandson in the passenger’s seat, crash helmets on for protection.

He hit the gas and reversed straight through the closed garage door, destroying it, and bucket list ticked off.

Relatives gathered around for the big occasion and filmed, and Mr Thomas sat in the driver’s seat with a massive grin of satisfaction on his face after the feat. Mission accomplished.
