Driver almost flattened by truck, escapes death by centimetres

This is the moment a driver checking on a blown tyre in the UK came within centimetres of being squashed like a pancake by a fellow truckie.

Video uploaded online yesterday shows the truck’s tyre exploding, sending a trail of rubber flying on the motorway near Hounslow in west London.

The driver climbs out to inspect the damage as vehicles continue to whizz by in the next lane during afternoon peak hour.

A large truck then comes into view and crosses the white line, seemingly headed straight towards the exposed driver.

But with the narrowest of margins to spare the driver somehow manages to pull off the impossible and lean back just enough to escape certain death.
