‘It’s not easy’: Todd Woodbridge’s welcome change as he celebrates huge milestone

Tennis legend and Aussie TV host Todd Woodbridge is celebrating a very special career milestone ahead of the Logie Awards this year.
The host, who is nominated for a prestigious Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality is celebrating 500 episodes of Tipping Point Australia. The response is something he’s “never experience before”.

“Well done everyone, happy 500th,” Todd announced in a video shared to his Instagram stories on Thursday.
Met with applause by his crew, Todd received a giant cake to mark the occasion decorated with silver counters and jackpot counters made from decorative icing.
Speaking to nine.com.au ahead of the celebrations, Todd said he’s seen a huge response from Tipping Point fans especially in the last six months – whether that be through comments on socials or fans he meets.
“When I’m out in public people will just randomly come up and say they love the show, or that it’s their 5 oʼclock show,” he revealed.
“It’s really warm and energising, to put in a way, and it’s something I’ve never experienced before.”
Todd mentioned what’s even crazier is that young fans are beginning to recognise him as “the Tipping Point guy” not the “guy who played tennis”.
But it’s a change he’s extremely proud of.
“When I look back on it, you realise, it’s not an easy thing to do, to have a career and then be into something people see as significantly different,” he said.

The host is very much looking forward to Season 4 of Tipping Point and plans to work “twice as hard” to make sure the show stays at what it’s become.
“I don’t know if every other show has as much of a good time as we do while you’re working,” he smiled.
“You work in environments and things can get a little tired or stale, but not yet. I’m not going to allow that to happen.”
