Samantha Armytage confirms split from husband Richard Lavender: 'We wish the best for each other'

Samantha Armytage has confirmed she's separated from her husband Richard Lavender after four years of marriage.

In a statement, Samantha, 48, told 9Entertainment that the couple had parted ways and remain on good terms.

"Yes Richard and I have separated. All breakups are hard, but it's somewhat lessened by the fact it's amicable and we wish the best for each other," she said.

"I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won't be making any further comment."

The pair started dating in April 2019 and announced their engagement in June 2020.

They tied the knot in a private ceremony at his Southern Highlands estate on New Year's Eve in 2020.

Samantha is a popular media personality and journalist with over 23 years experience, anchoring Channel 7's breakfast program Sunrise for eight years.

Last month she was announced as the host of The Golden Bachelor, which will air on Channel 9 in 2025.

"When I got the call to join the show, I didn't hesitate," she recently told 9Entertainment.
