By 2014, The Block had been seen a proposal, millions of dollars in winnings and popstar Ed Sheeran.

But come Season 8 and Scott Cam announced an unprecedented twist.

"I feel sick," one the contestants said after hearing the gamechanger.

Season 8 saw the very first Fans vs Faves series where past Blockheads Alisa and Lysandra and Brad and Dale returned to the reno show to compete against newbies Kyal and Kara and Chantelle and Steve.
