'Going to cry': Scott Cam's emotional admission after 26 years at Channel 9

After 15 years and 19 incredible seasons, beloved Block host Scott Cam was overcome with emotion on screen as he received a first-of-its-kind gift.

"This is the nicest thing that's ever happened to me in my life," he beamed.

Reversing the roles during the last week of the season, the 2025 Blockheads summoned Scotty to his sawmill.

"What's going on?" said the smiling host.

It was "a big honour" for Sonny as he spoke on behalf of all the teams and unveiled a special surprise.

"For all of us that stand here in front you, and no doubt the previous Blockheads, you've been so supportive and it's not often you get any thanks," Sonny began.

"All that we seem to do is winge about our scores, ask for more money, bicker between ourselves and generally be a thorn in your side.

"But today we say thanks."

"He was chuffed," Sonny looked back on cameras.

"I thought he was going to cry," said Alicia.

"That is so unreal, I've never been given a gift before," said Scotty.

Then in a Block first, Scotty did what Scotty never does...

A group hug!

"I've been at Channel 9 for 26 years and you guys have been my best, I promise you," he said.
