Watch: Block 'dad' Scott Cam intervenes after an emotional clash leaves Charlotte in tears
While Maddy and Charlotte celebrate their first week on The Block, an emotional clash has instead left them in tears.
Their inherited builder Zak revealed he was struggling with the new dynamic on site and soon confronted the girls.
And as you can see in the video above, it was quite the emotional exchange.
Zak said he had been trying to have "direct conversations" with Charlotte but felt like she was turning to his junior Nathan instead.
"It's quite rude," he expressed and before everything unraveled, the Sydney sister was almost lost for words.

With tears in her eyes, Charlotte headed to the Surf Club Challenge, where she was greeted with a big hug from host Scott Cam.

She explained the situation, and being the "temporary dad" he promised to be, Scotty offered some kinds words.
"I don't like to see you crying," he said. "Because I have a daughter the same age."

Scotty offered to talk to Zak, but that didn't go so well last time so Charlotte told him to stand down.
"I'll be fine, we'll work it out," she reassured him.
"I know you will be, you're tough," he reminded her.
But in an unfortunate twist, things didn't exactly work out.
