DIY queen Cherie Barber shares 'nifty' idea for a space-saving clothes drying rack
When it comes to clever gadgets and ideas that save on space and are functional, we can't get enough of them.
Cherie Barber, DIY queen and host of Space Invaders, has shared a clever idea on Facebook that takes a creative spin on drying washing.

Instead of dragging out the bulky airer and trying to find a spot for it inside, you could hack your blinds.
"What a nifty invention. A window blind come pull down drying rack. Perfect for people living in small apartments & tinier homes," she captioned the post.

The three images showed the drying rack as blinds and then pulled down to be used as a drying rack for washing.
It's so simple but genius at the same time, especially if you are looking for ways to simplify your lifestyle.
People were so impressed with the idea and commented on the post.
"OMGosh, how darn clever, why has thissss not been thought of long before now, so need this," wrote one person.
"That is a great little hack! I'm impressed," added another.
One person commented, "This is so clever Perfect for any size home ..sometimes it's not practical to leave your washing outside re: weather changes throughout the day etc."

"With a bit of a tinker u could also have a top to turn into a table... this trend to tiny houses is coming up with some innovative ideas," suggested another person.
While it is a clever way to use something already in your home as a dual purpose, others were quick to point out a couple of obvious downsides.
"Great idea but the privacy part is compromised," wrote one.
Another person added, "Make sure the blinds are dusted and clean before putting your clothes on it."
Despite a couple of downsides, it's an idea worth considering if you are in the process of building a tiny home, or renovating a caravan.
